With the span of ages between our kids as big as it is, it’s usually hard for us to find a movie we can all agree on. But there’s one kind of movie we can ALWAYS agree one — any movie with animals!
That’s why I was so excited when I learned about BBC Earth’s newest movie, One Life! I knew all of our kids would LOVE it!
I’ve always been so intrigued with the lives wild animals live. Their lives are hard. They have to find their food, protect themselves from predators, and sometimes just try to stay alive in the elements. They really are smart beings.
One Life shows us all of that! Narrated by Daniel Craig, which was the first time the actor lent his voice to a documentary feature, this film was over four years in the making, including filming over 3,000 days on every continent and in every habitat.
The film also includes 15 “filming firsts” like the first complete sequence (including aerials, underwater and topside shots) of humpback whale mating contest, “the heat run,” 3 cheetahs hunting co-operatively (they generally hunt independently), and the first use of new camera tracking system “yogi cam” to track elephants.
Check out this trailer for the movie.
This movie is one the whole family will love! Our family sure did!
I couldn’t think of a better family activity for us to do to celebrate this guy’s 12th birthday!
Stay tuned and I’ll tell you exactly what he thought about it! I’ll let his cute smile give you a hint.
Wouldn’t you love a family experience you could all enjoy together?? You really should check out One Life with your kids. You won’t be disappointed.
One Life opened February 21st in over 450 theaters across the nation for a limited engagement.
Don’t miss it! I highly recommend seeing it on the big screen!!
