Easter Decorations

I have been so sad at my lack of motivation to get our house in the mood for Spring.

Instead of my house saying, “Yay, it’s Spring!” it’s saying, {in Eeyore’s voice}, “Come on in.  This place is boooooring.”

I usually at least have some flowers out in the front yard by now and with the amount of time we are spending in the front yard, you’d think it would be a whole lot prettier.  However, I did actually pin this over the weekend.  It has all kinds of ideas for what to put in your big pots.  I’m always looking for those ideas!

No, I haven’t actually done any planting yet, but pinning is a start, RIGHT?!?!  :)

I did, however, get a little craft bug this past week and whipped up two little projects I found over on Oopsey Daisy’s craft link-up.

This Easter banner from Creations by Kara was soooo easy and I whipped it up after the boys went to bed while Jeff and I watched some Modern Family.

I already had all of the supplies at home!  Those are my favorite projects!  FREE!

Jeff is not the most observant person and even though I was working on this right in front of him, he never asked me what I was doing.  When I got it hung up, I said, “Well, what do you think?”  He said, “What is it?  Star fruit?”

All I could do was shake my head and laugh.

The other project I worked on, for entirely too long was this Easter wreath.

I will not let you look too close because the imperfections are many!

To be quite honest, I do not love this thing.  It could be because it took me a ridiculous amount of time.  And, that could be because while hanging it on the door, it fell and shattered, leaving it looking like this.

I had to pick up all of the pieces and do my best at putting it all back together.

Not fun!  I thought about just trashing it, but I pushed through.  Still not sure I’m glad I did, though. :)

You can find the Easter Wreath tutorial here!

Be prepared to have lots of glue sticks!  And, I used the plastic eggs.  They will take spray paint.

Are you so excited about Easter coming this weekend?

We always get to fill our bellies for lunch on Easter Sunday.  I. can. not. WAIT!!
