I love planners. Just love them! There’s something about writing things down that makes it official for me. For some reason, it’s not official whenever I try to input important dates or appointments in my phone.
Things don’t jump out at me on a technology calendar like they do in my personal handwritten planner. I don’t know why.
I had to make a switch from my beloved Erin Condren planner and I was really sad about it but I’m perfectly happy with my new Martha Stewart planner. Check out my vlog and find out why.
***Don’t worry. I did go rescue Brantley and gave her some snugglin’.
Martha Stewart is exclusive to Staples and you should definitely check out everything else she has in her organization line. I’m sure I’ll be back to Staples several times in the next few months while I’ve got organization on the brain.
This is not a sponsored post. Martha doesn’t even know I exist, and neither does Erin.
I just love talking about planners and calendars! {But, I can be bought, Martha. Just FYI}
So tell me. Are you a paper calendar person, or do you need the technology calendar??

YOU CRACK ME UP. “can’t be bought” bahahaha!! I’m the same way .. I need a pen to paper to keep me organized . and colorful markers to underline and star and exclamation point lots

Yes, I love the colorful markers and pens and all that, too! Somehow I end up losing them, though. :/
Oh my gosh how cute are you at vlogging!!! And very informative and helpful too!
Thanks Lauren!
I’m a total internet junkie and I use my google calendar that also moves to my droid phone… although truthfully I try to keep a ton of stuff in my head… probably not the best way to do it…
I’m glad you found a great calendar though – since I’m sure you’ll want to write in lots of great Social Fabric and Collective Bias shops, twitter parties, seminars and more! Welcome to Social Fabric!!

I use my phone calendar but I also use a paper calendar because like you said, there is just something so satisfying about checking stuff off a list. :-)
I am the EXACT same way about electronic calendars. I think they are a great idea, but something about it just isn’t real for me. I forget to update them. I forget to check them. I’ve tried lots of different ones, and none of them are good for me.
I have a monthly planner on my desk at work that I use to keep track of everything. I’ve never used one that has the weekly sections, but those two look amazing. I may have to give one of them a try. Too bad we don’t have a Staples locally.

There is something great about crossing things off by hand isn’t there! I love the personalization aspect.
I have to say that you look younger in the video than in the sidebar picture – and pretty in both!

Like your review.
Come by if you can.
One of these days, I am going to have to break down and buy a planner of some kind. I have always been so proud to be able to keep things straight in my head, but my brain is getting older whether I want it to our not.
PS: You are adorable!

My days of paper planners are over. Since the invention of the Cloud, I no longer miss appointments because I wrote them on one calender, but not all of them. It used to happen all the time. Plus my paper calendar never sang a little song to me to let me know it was time for something important to happen.

I love a paper calendar … and I like one with lots of columns for all my kids. I don’t think I’ll ever go fully electronic.

I’ve been wanting to get a new planner so I may just have to go check this out. I love writing in a planner but sadly I don’t always go back and look. We just added a calendar to our wall in our kitchen to come up with a better cleaning schedule & dinner schedule.
