My family and I all have a deep love for breakfast and I think our little ones may even go to bed looking forward to their next morning meal. Their usual breakfast choice is one of the first things out of their mouths upon waking.

I wanted to do something a little fun and different for them this week and I couldn’t wait for them to wake up and find this fun breakfast!

Breakfast Bread Bowls

Now that summer is here, we’re all about the beautiful fruits in season, but I’m always looking for ways to give them that added protein to help kick start their day. That’s why I was so excited when I found Tyson’s Breakfast Bread Bowls, which have 11 grams of protein in each bowl. {You can see my shopping trip on my Google+ album.} I knew my kiddos would love the taste and I would love the nutritional value it gives them.

And what’s a good breakfast without adding a little fun in there. I knew my kids would love the fruit, but Riverson, my two year old, actually shocked me when he got down to business with his breakfast bread bowl, without me even having to coax him.

Even more surprising was hearing my kids ask for more, after they finished their “flower breakfasts.” When it’s something as healthy as this, I can’t deny them when they want a little more fun in their mornings.

My husband was even able to grab a breakfast bread bowl on his way out of the door and easily ate it in the car, while heading to work.

Knowing I can make breakfast fun and easy for everyone means I’ll be buying this delicious breakfast option again and again. After all, the hardest part was just cutting up the fruit. :)

  1. I think E is starting to get to the age that I should think about making breakfast fun. I’m anxious to play with pancake mix to make shapes. She kind of had fun with her sunny side up egg this morning because it was a different texture than usual!
